Review of the Kindle in PC Magazine: "Simply put, it's
the best dedicated ebook reader you can buy… Amazon has managed to
increase the contrast on the Kindle in a way that sets it above the
Nook, Sony Readers, or any other dedicated ebook reader we've tested
"...

How
to Buy e-books from Amazon UK in Ireland
Some Irish Kindle users have found that some Kindle books are not
available on Amazon.com or are more expensive than the UK site.
It is possible for Irish residents to buy Kindle books on the Kindle
UK Store - BUT only if your billing address is in the
UK. You will also need to amend your country settings to UK in the
"Manage Your Kindle" area.
IP addresses are not checked by Amazon to determine which Kindle store
you should be using.
Some Irish people are setting up 2 Amazon UK accounts - their main
one for delivery of "real" products to their Irish address
- and a second account with a UK address (maybe a relative or friend)
that is used just for buying ebooks for Kindle. An Irish credit card
can be used on both accounts. It is probably a bit over the top just
to save a few Euro. |
